Looking for a Business Analyst with around 3-6 years of work experience of which at least 1 year is in the Insurance domain. Experience in the Property and Casualty Insurance domain is an added advantage. He should possess a strong knowledge and work experience in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) such as requirement capture, analysis, planning, development, and testing. The desired candidate must have experience in Unified Modeling Language (UML) Diagrams and Flow Chart Diagrams using Rational Rose and MS Visio.
P&C Insurance Domain techno- functional background, with exposure to Microsoft technologies along with AngularJS/Bootstrap/HTML5 and CSS, willing to work as an individual contributor.
Good in understanding business requirements, documenting them with an ability to work with the code for resolving bugs/issues and work on small enhancements/mods.
Key Skills Required:
· Proficient as a liaison between business and technology with competence in full life cycle of system development with AGILE, Waterfall and RUP methodologies.
· Collecting, understanding, and transmitting the business requirements for the project, and translating them into functional specifications and detailed test plans. Expertise in analyzing Business and Technical specifications, and developing Use-Cases. Excellent in preparing Business Requirements Document (BRD), Functional Specifications Document/Software Requirement Specification (FSD/SRS), and Use Case Specifications.
· Responsible for gathering and prioritizing requirements using interviews, document analysis and surveys for facilitating JAD sessions.
· Knowledgeable in Business Intelligence and Corporate Performance Management solutions including Dashboards, Score Cards, Query & Analysis reports, KPIs and proficient in database concepts like ETL, OLTP, OLAP, Dimensional Modeling, Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Normalization and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD).
· Experience in Risk analysis to identify the critical & high risk areas of business application.
· Worked on business processes using MS-Visio, performed “As-Is” analysis and created “To-Be” processes (GAP Analysis Technique).
· Experience in Unified Modeling Language (UML) Diagrams including Use Case Diagrams and Activity Diagrams, and business process models (context, data flow, IDEF0 diagrams), Flow Chart Diagrams using Rational Rose and MS Visio.
· Should have experience in creating Wireframes/Prototypes/Mock-Ups for User Interface using Pidoco, Balsamiq, iRise and MS PowerPoint.
· Well-versed in QA Process Management and was involved in Test Strategies, Test Cases, Test Plans, and developing and executing Test Scripts, tracking defects and getting them resolved to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are tested and fulfilled.
· Knowledge of traceability Matrix to map business and functional requirements.
· Worked on requirement management tools like DOORS, UML modeling tools, Version Control tools such as SVN (Sub Version), SharePoint and CVS.
· Experience in Defect & Change Tracking tools such as Application Development Life Cycle Management (ALM/ADLM)/Quality Center, and JIRA.
· Exposure to software methodologies like CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration), ISO 9001, RUP (Rational Unified Process) and Object Oriented methodologies used in Web, Data Base, Enterprise Wide Client Server Applications.
· Experience in Software Quality Assurance, Change Management, and Configuration Management.
· Experience in writing SQL and TSQL queries using Oracle and MS SQL Server.
